Scandal should be Mr. Nice’s second name at this point. It just
happens that he has gotten into more drama with his new manager at Candy
& Candy record label.
According to Bongo5. the Candy & Candy manager said they disagreed
with Mr. Nice, who happens to be a favorite of many Kenyans on various
issues including the quality of work. The drama ensued after Mr. Nice
released his latest song ‘Akina Mama’ which the manager openly admitted
not to have liked. On advising the ‘Fagilia’ famed artiste to use a
different song, he refused to heed the advice and insisted on the said
song thus leading to a tussle.
‘Akina Mama’ is said to have played on air severally but didn’t do as
well and could have led the company to great losses. Joe Kariuki the
Candy & Candy Records manager said they have since entered into a
contract with Mr. Nice and will only work as per what the contract says.
Before joining Candy & Candy, Mr. Nice was signed with Grandpa
Records but they decided to break the contract after they were unable to
deal with the Tanzanian artiste. Candy & Candy has signed several
Tanzanian artistes including Four – D, Top C and Baby Madaha. I hope the
contract will help reduce the drama.
