Tanzania:.Seven venues to host league ties

Premier soccer league continues today with all 14 teams in action at seven venues scattered across Mainland Tanzania.
Holders Young Africans are still at the Souther Highlnads with an assignment against hosts Tanzania prisons to be staged at the Sokoine Stadium in Mbyea.

Located inside the relegation tunnel with just a single point out of three appearances, the prison wardens will be looking for their first three points to please the hoem fans.

On the otherside, holders Yanga might possibly not be willing to drop more points in their tour having settled to a 1-1 draw in their previous fixture against newly promoted Mbeya City last Saturday.

The holders are foruth placed with five points in the current stansings ahead of today’s clash, have an urgent need to comfort their fans believed to be more than the rest of the teams.

In Dar es Salaam, Yanga’s archrivals Simba who are two points adrift of pacemakers JKT Ruvu, will be at home to visiting Mgambo JKT from Tanga.

Having won twice and drawn once, Simba would like to take the league pilot eat through another victory while wishing the army side to flop at the hands of their blood brothers Ruvu Shooting.

The match between Ruvu Shooting nd JKT Ruvu will be one of the highly focused one by a huge number of fans. The clash to eb played at the Mabatini in Mlandizi township, might lift the JKT Ruvu side to maintain leadership should they post a win.

Sharing a five-point haul same as Yanga, Mbeya City and Coastal Union,
another title contenders and big spenders Azam FC will be at home to newly promoted Ashanti FC whom they share sponsors.

While Azam have not lost a match out of three appearances so far, Ashanti will be in search of maiden victiory since gaining elevation into the top flight berth.
At home to visiting Rhino Rangers from Tabora, Coastal Union will have to please their fans at the Mkwakwani Stadium in today’s midweek fixture.

With two points to their collection kit, visiting Rhino will have a daunting task to sudue their hosts who are believed to be on top form having amassed five points without a loss in their three matches played.

Perhaps another premiership action to attract the attention of most fans is between hosts Mtibwa Sugar against visiting Mbeya City who are on their first outing since cheking holders Yanga during last Saturday’s third round fixture at the Sokoine Stadium in Mbeya.

Slow starters Kagera sugar are at home to JKT Oljoro at their Kaitaba Stadium in Bukoba with the visitors needing to work beyond the call of duty to shock their hosts.
Kagera have two points without a winwhile their visitors have earned just a point to float on the turbulent relegation waters.

The Mainland premier soccer league has the richest sponsorship fund package in the East African regionin having excess of 3.2 billion shillings with Vodacom and Azam sharing the donation pool.
