Heavy equipment operator (15 posts)Reporting Line: Shift Supervisor
Location: Buzwagi Gold Mine; Kahama District; Shinyanga Region
Work Schedule: 5 days day shift, 5 days night shift and 5 days off
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:-
Ensure that safety standards, FLRA, Safe Working Procedures and complied in full in order to achieve Zero Lost Time Injury (LTI) Frequency Rate.
Conduct a comprehensive Prestart check for any Mining Equipment prior to using it and ensure full ownership and care to the end of the shift.
Work with the Mine Dispatcher to ensure that load and haul equipment is utilised in an optimum manner. Provide timely acknowledgement of dispatch assignments and achieve designed loads per hour.
Good care and optimal utilisation of GET (bucket, teeth, cutting edge, blade etc).
Good floor, levels and grading control for Excavator, Dozer and Grader Operators.
Report breakdowns, equipment damage, safety near misses, incidents and accidents according to the laid out procedures including completing the Shift report at the end of each shift.
To be pro-active in all aspects of operational safety, efficient utilization of the resources, Continuous Improvement Initiatives; and encourage teamwork across the departments.
Ensure efficient utilisation of resources; including fuel, tyres, fire extinguishers etc.
Ensure NO abuse of equipment.
Any other duties that may be assigned to fulfill the overall business objective.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:-
Education Requirements:
Certificate of Secondary Education.
Certificate of competence on heavy equipments such as Excavator, Shovel, Dozer, Wheel Loader, Grader or Dump Truck.
Clear and effective communication skills in written and spoken English
Valid Tanzanian driving license.
Experience Requirements:
Must have Heavy equipment operating experience on one of the following:- Excavator, Shovel, Dozer, Grader or Dump Truck
Mining experience will be an added advantage.

Mining Engineer - (1 Post)
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Reporting Line: Chief Mining Engineer
Location: Buzwagi Gold Mine; Kahama District; Shinyanga Region.
Work Schedule: 6 weeks on; 3 weeks off
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:-
To ensure that Daily Mining Plans are prepared to required standards and issued to operations for use in production planning
Assist the Senior Mining Engineers in preparation of weekly plans in line with the monthly plan and budget.
Preparation of blast blocks in conjunction with Geologists and liaising with Explosives Contractor to nominate drilling patterns and blast initiation methods.
Liaise with Explosives Contractor to ensure that blast movements and vibrations are monitored and reported timely.
Liaise with Explosives Contractor to ensure that blast reconciliations are done and reported timely Assist the Senior Mining Engineers in compilation of production data and reporting
To co-ordinate and incorporate inputs from various sections e.g. geology, geotech survey into the production
Assist the Senior Mining Engineers to ensure that excavation achieves the design specifications (e.g. bench toe & crest, ramps, haul roads)
Assist the Senior Mining Engineers to ensure that waste dump benches follow the designed sequence and are rehabilitated to meet sustainable Environmental standards.
Liaise with Maintenance Planners on equipment services.
Act on behalf of the Senior Mining Engineer as required.
To be pro-active in all aspects of operational safety, ensure efficient utilization of the resources and encourage teamwork across the departments
Manage Succession Planning within the Mining Team to ensure that the PML commitments to the Tanzanian government with respect to the development of Tanzanian employees to assume positions of increasing accountability are achieved.
Manage business decisions and transaction in compliance to the Company Code of Ethics and compliance to the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) law and standards.
Any other duties that may be assigned to fulfill the overall business objective.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:-
Education Requirements:
Degree in Mining Engineering. Basic skills in the use of Vulcan, Surpac or similar mining software packages.
Practical knowledge in the use of spreadsheet and database software packages.
Be able to perform open.pit production engineering roles with minimal supervision.
Experience Requirements:
A minimum of 3 years relevant experience in the mining industry
Experience in large open pit operations utilizing excavators and large trucks.
A valid Tanzanian Driving License.
Good communication skills, Computer skills in Mining Engineering and Planning software.

• To plan and balance the rosters/manpower force in the kitchen, addressing fatigue element
• To daily issues and prepare cost analysis daily on kitchen consumption,
• To perform on job training to all kitchen staff on acceptable HACCP standards and enforce them on a daily basis.
• To establish and supervise/monitor an internal audit control system that will enable the kitchen to maintain and reach targeted HACCP standards.
• To cook and be part of the kitchen operation as team player.

• Higher National diploma or degree in food Industry.
Experience Requirements:
• Exposed to HACCP type' training with hands on experience in reputable food organization in a supervisory role.

• Perform routine maintenance checks, minor maintenance in the plant on mechanical equipment and assist OEM when performing planned maintenance on the major equipment.
• Identify problem on the areas and notify the relevant people.
• Daily reporting on the performance of the oxygen plant.
• Perform diligent housekeeping.
• Guide other staff regarding oxygen safety when work is required to be done by non-oxygen related staff.

• Preferable a FTC in electrical or Mechanical engineering.
Experience Requirements:
• Knowledge of the EIGA guidelines regarding oxygen would safety be advantageous.
• Aptitude to be trained in the operation and monitoring of plant using Scada I human machine interface.

• Ensure total adherence to all Safety, Occupational Health and Environmental Policies, as well as other policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Operate the Process Plant in a safe and efficient manner to achieve production targets.
• Operate the Process Plant to achieve metallurgical key performance indicators.
• Operate mobile equipment associated with the Process Plant.
• Report all maintenance requirements and operating problems to the Shift Supervisor.
• Actively participate in training activities to gain new skills and develop full potential.
• Be proactive in all aspects of Process Plant security to prevent and eliminate theft and fraud.
• Participate with regular safety meetings.
• Carry out any other relevant duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:-Education Requirements:
• Form VI Secondary Education; or
• FTCI Trade test grade 1 in mechanical or electrical disciplines.
Experience Requirements:
• Process Operator: Minimum of 2 years' experience in similar position in a Process Plant in Tanzania is essential.
• Consistent demonstration of ABG Core Values, able to work and plan daily tasks with minimal supervision.
• Good written and verbal English language skills are essential.
• Valid Driver's license/Mobile equipment operating license

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:-
• Ensure total adherence to all Safety, Occupational Health and Environmental Policies of PML, as well as other policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Provide Technical leadership to the Suzwagi Process plant operations and maintenance departments to ensure agreed targets are achieved within corporate safety and environmental guidelines.
• Responsible for the administration of the Process Control System,
• Configure and maintain Citect SCADA and Siemens S7 PLC's.
• Participate in and support commissioning new control systems i and when required.
• Continually review every aspect of the control systems to ensure that opportunities to add value are identified and implemented Initiate and lead continuous improvement projects.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:-Education Requirements:
• BSC Electrical engineering degree or NHD equivalent
Experience Requirements:
• Experience in SCADA projects in the mining sector (particular process plants) is preferred. Experience in manufacturing or the power industry would be acceptable.
• Control and Instrumentation background.
• Citect SCADA experience - certification would be highly regarded
• Sound knowledge of Siemens- S7 PLC.
• PLC programming skills, design and code generation.
• Must be proficient in modern communication systems an protocols including Profibus.
• Proven track record implementing, developing, and administering process control systems.
• Provide technical support and assistance to operational and maintenance teams.
• Experience in systematic coaching and training of employees would be beneficial.
• Previous commissioning experience would be advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Minimum of 5 years post graduate experience with PLC's and SCADA systems. Citect SCADA and Siemens S7 PLC preferred.
